4 CLASSES, 4 ROBOTS
a composition project with self-made musical robots
by and with students from the Tumblingerstraße and Stuntzstraße Elementary Schools, joined by musicians from the registered organization Musik zum Anfassen e. V.
Laura took responsibility of project organization, provided artistic ideas, and inspired students during rehearsals and workshops to contemplate creative, hands-on approaches to the cross-cutting activities of music, robotics, manual labor, and teamwork.
Wir und die Roboter culminated in several school concerts, a public performance at the Teamtheater Tankstelle, and a two-week exhibit in the world's largest science and technology museum.
Musik zum Anfassen e. V. has over two decades of projects that (including this one) have been featured in the distinguished Deutsches Museum, have won prizes, and inspired countless students, teachers, and parents as well as collaborators from professional orchestras. Support comes from over a dozen sponsors including the Munich City Government and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Robert Bosch, and Allianz Foundations.
